Last night I drove the car to take my daughter to ballet lessons (last one!). I saw a bag in the back of the car and got all excited thinking it was my mother's day present...it was The Man's trash from his KFC lunch.

Last Saturday The Man and I had a date. It was one of the best dates ever! We went to eat Mexican food (the best I have ever eaten). We sat on the patio (we never do) and listened to the band (can't remember the last time I heard live music). I also cannot remember the last time I have eaten a meal so slowly. Some friends owe us some babysitting and live near the place we went; we were able to leave the baby too!

I have a tattoo. I consider it a scar from my past. I hate it! It is a heart, made of a daisies, on my ankle. I always wear long skirts to Mass so it won't show, but have recently decided (with the help of The Man) to get over myself. I think people pay way more attention to me than they probably do. It is a true act of humility to wear shorter skirts (I'm not talking mini, a little past the knee).

I love to mow! I have a John Deere riding mower, the one with bars for the steering. It is so much fun to mow with! I mow about 5-6 acres on the farm a week. I would mow more if I could.
5.
I have finally been able to satisfy The Man...(that sounds a little naughty). I have learned to make a.w.e.s.o.m.e. chicken and dumplings!

Today would be my mother in law's 74th birthday. She died two years ago the 22nd of this month. We miss her daily.
7.
I use my new bread machine almost everyday.

Your post are always so great to read! I know what you mean about eating slow without the kids. It's kind of like when my mom visits and we get to go to mass by ourselves..I almost don't know what to do and the slightest little cry makes me start twitching around thinking one of the kids escaped. Have a great one and Happy Mothers day!
