7 Quick Takes

1.

Tonight we will participate in our city's first March for Life. We cannot wait! I'm taking a wagon to pull the younger two.

2.

The kids want to decorate said wagon. I keep having to explain this is a "march" a pilgrimage, not a parade. I do not envision parade waves and candy thrown...maybe they have the right idea though...

3.

The baby can now sign and say "book", "nurse", "horse", "dad", bite", "out", "up"...We love that he can sign simple words, it had really helped fill in the gap between wanting to communicate and not having the words.

4.

We love these Signing Times videos! We check them out at our local library. So much information presented in a fun and very entertaining way. Great music as well.

5.

We are in a tentative agreement to buy the house we are living in plus 1 acre. We would still have access and be responsible for the rest of the farm (360 acres) but we would own the actual house, for now, my dreams are big...

6.

We have been playing with the numbers...our goal is to pay as little interest over the years as possible once we buy the house. This will mean stretching our budget and making some sacrifices as a family. But the thought of being able to pay the house off in 10 years...priceless!!

7.

I strongly encourage everyone to check out Dave Ramsey. Many churches host his "Financial Peace" seminars. The Man listened to Total Money Makeover on cd every day to and from work while I read the book. He now listens to the radio program everyday while working. I cannot stress how life changing this program is. We are a single income, six children, homeschooling family with no debt. I think he also offers information for small business owners, check him out!
