{1}I have really been looking forward to a women's retreat at Church this weekend. But, instead I'm making another road trip. My own personal mother culture retreat will include sewing on a baby quilt I'm making while just being near the grandparents I love.
{2}I think I overheard the weather, more cold, more wet...
{3}I made my mother in laws† mac n cheese this week and invited my father in law out to eat with us. The kids recited poetry, danced and read their writing assignments. He was probably tired after all that! Just a typical night around here.
{4}My heart is so heavy for this little girl and her family. The part that makes me so sad, is at one time, her mother writes about how much she wants to hold her dying baby, but it is too much for the little girl. Layla prefers the quiet of her own room and the comfort of her own bed. That would be hard, to restrain MY need of having my baby in my arms while I could, verses her need of comfort.
{5}I've made our learning plans out for March. We will spend the month on History, specifically Native Americans.
{6}I'm feeling a little raw and vulnerable right now...growth.
